If you’re trying to get to know us better, you’ve come to the right place. This is Friendji at a glance.

Yes, absolutely! Friendji can be downloaded for free in the App Store or Google Play Store. Basic features let you create a profile, match with emojis with people near your current location, host or join meetups and chat without limits.

Friendji will be available in Spain from September 2021. We expect to launch in Mexico and European countries later this year and worldwide by 2022. Follow us on social media to get notified when we launch in new regions or join the waiting list. Thanks!

1. Download the Friendji app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).

2. Once the app is installed, tap the smiley Friendji icon to open the app.

3. There are several ways to create an account. You can use Facebook, Google, Apple or your email. For the email option, tap to Sign Up, then enter your email address (which will require a confirmation code) and tap Next.

4. If you register with your email, set a password, fill out your profile info and then tap Next. If you register with Facebook, you’ll be prompted to log into your Facebook account if you’re currently logged out. 5. If you sign up with email, make sure you enter your email address correctly and choose an email address that only you can access. If you log out and forget your password, you’ll need to be able to access your email to get back into your Friendji account.

Friendji implements a new matching system that is fun and innovative for making friends and finding like-minded people anywhere you go! You don’t have to swipe right or left anymore. Instead, you send an emoji based on your intentions or shared interests with the other person. If they reply with the same emoji, then there is a match and you can start the chat. We believe this is a fantastic way to break the ice before you start getting to know each other. Furthermore, you can host or join social meetups, events or local experiences to meet people in groups.
The best way to report abusive content or spam on Friendji is by using the Report option that you will find at the top right menu inside a user profile or meetup page. Keep in mind that your report is anonymous and the account you report won’t see who reported them.

You can edit your profile within the app at any time. However, some fields are restricted to be edited in order to prevent spam and fake users. If you want to change your name, age or/and nationality, please contact support. We will reply your request in within 24 hours.

Meetups are perfect for socializing within a group of people. You can host meetups, events or social experiences of any kind as long as you follow the local rules and regulations. For instance, you can create meetups to organice a city tour in bicycle, meet other remote workers at a local coffee shop, go to the beach at sunset, plan a road trip, explore sightseeings or sport tournaments. Possibilities are limitless!
Yes, but only by hosting meetups, events or experiences. You can create paid meetups for other people to join that requiere a payment. For instance, you can promote your coworking space by hosting conferences, promote your tour agency by hosting travel experiences, promote your hostel by hosting parties for backpackers, or promote your restaurant by offering cooking clases. Friendji does not process any third-party payments.
Upload photos to Friendji that feature you! Ditch your friends because this isn’t about them and remove the sunglasses because they hide your face. The best pics are in focus and some say a smile goes a long way here.
If you’re having second thoughts about someone you matched, no problem. You can unmatch anyone at any time. Tap the three dots on the top right inside the chat screen with that person, select unmatch and confirm. The chat will be permanently deleted as well.
Not at this current time. Future releases may contain this feature but as for right now, this is not possible. Please, use the mobile app and take Friendji anywhere you go!

Yes, fake profiles will be removed immediately by our safety team. Please, help keep our community safe by reporting fake users. We will introduce “Verified Profiles” in the near future, those will have a checkmark in their profile and we strongly suggest you to request your verification badge in advance before we roll-out this feature.
